The gala dinner 2011, which took place at the 5-star Frankfurt Marriott Hotel, was a great success, bringing together 250 attendees, representing more than 80 global companies to recognize their outstanding contribution to new and significant developments in contract services. We would like to congratulate the winners for their outstanding winning entries and extend our gratitude to the sponsors, partners, judges and everyone who supported the 6th annual awards ceremony and helped to make it "the best EOA so far," according to Steve Kemp, Business Development Director, Brecon Pharmaceuticals.
This annual event rewards successful companies for their innovation, dedication, application and excellence throughout the bio/pharmaceutical outsourcing and wider business community. "These qualities are critical, now, more than ever, to companies' health in today's fraught industry," said Corrine Lawrence, Editor of Pharma, "and many have risen to the challenge, as evidenced by this year's impressive collection of EOA nominations. Clearly, all is not doom and gloom!"
Compèred by Sherman Whitfield, Director Global Manufacturing Alliances, of Eli Lilly and Company, Sherman brought to the event not only a wealth of industry experience, but entertained the audience with his energy and charisma. Even those not fortunate enough to win an award left the venue having enjoyed the evening and feeling inspired, so we would like to say a big thank you to Sherman.
