SFSTP is a 61-year-old industry
association with a thousand members across
12 countries.
Its policy is to address the
requirements of the evolving health
sector, while its objectives are to
facilitate the improvement and development
of pharmaceutical science and technology
at home and abroad by
- optimising communication and
strengthening ties between those
involved in the development of
pharmaceutical science and technology
- monitoring and contributing to
advances in relevant fields
- disseminating appropriate
information and knowledge
- integrating related industries and
sectors including chemical,
biotechnology, veterinary, food and
cosmetics
- joining different partners from the
health sector industry including
suppliers, partners, vendors and
contractors
- increasing the synergy with
universities and students
SFSTP's main
activities:
Working groups (aka commissions)
represent the daily activity and are
composed of members of the health sectors
(industrialists, suppliers, contractors,
members of the authorities andacademics)
working together on technical or
scientific subjects.
Workshops some working groups
present their findings during a half-day
workshop.
Think tanks SFSTP think tanks
are groups of members of the association
who use their expertise in technological,
regulatory and scientific areas to comment
on draft monographs or methods from the
European Pharmacopoeia.
Technology watch
International Congress a yearly
'must-attend' 2-day event taking place
every June, in Montpellier, South of
France.
