Tributes

Peter Burrows from Ceuta (Best New Partnership 2008 award) commented: "First, many congratulations on the success of the 2008 EOA evening in Frankfurt, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The awards evening is a fantastic event to recognize and celebrate excellence in outsourcing within the healthcare industry, which also offers a great opportunity to network with industry partners."

Patrick Hughes of Exco Intouch, (Best IT Strategy 2008 award) said that the company was "delighted and really proud to be a winner."

Terry Novak, President of North America and Chief Marketing Officer, Patheon, said: "We're proud to have won the Most Effective Scale-Up and Technical Transfer award for 2008. Our performance in the industry is being recognized for a reason: we have dedicated ourselves to understanding our customers' needs and developing both the capability and capacity to deliver on those needs. It's rewarding even to be considered with Procter and Gamble for this award by other industry leaders."

"The European Outsourcing Awards provides a unique opportunity to recognize excellent small and mid-sized pharmaceutical services providers that might otherwise 'fly under the radar' of the drug development industry."
Jim Miller, President, PharmSource Information Services Inc.

"Aptuit Inc. is proud to have been the primary sponsor for EOA 2007. The gala dinner has grown from a significant and successful start-up in 2005 to a must-attend event in the pharmaceutical calendar, and we are very pleased to be so strongly associated with its development. Our goal, to engineer a better drug development process, is greatly facilitated by being able to interact with our peers, discuss developments and generate business in the unparalleled networking opportunity that is the EOA gala dinner. We look forward to playing a key role in the growth of the event and supporting Via Media Ltd for many years to come."
Stuart Needleman, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Aptuit Inc.

"The Awards provides an insight into the trends and successful achievements of the outsourcing industry. We won the 2005 Award for B. Braun's innovative plastic containers for IV drugs. It confirms to us, that this type of primary packaging is an important aspect for the pharmaceutical industry. To meet the requirements of this market trend, B. Braun is continuing to advance the development of new container types as well as expanding production and contract manufacturing services in this field."
Emmanuel Goujard, B. Braun Melsungen AG, Head of Marketing OEM Division Europe

"Discovery is square one; development is, maybe, two to five. Manufacture is 20 years of six. We had better get it right ... and recognise those who do."
Paul Titley, CEO, R5 Pharmaceuticals
