European Outsourcing Awards 2012
More than 200 of the world's top pharmaceutical companies, suppliers and partners celebrated their greatest achievements, during the 7th Annual European Outsourcing Awards, held at the Hotel Meliá Avenida América, in Madrid, on October 10th 2012.
We would like to congratulate the winners and extend our sincere gratitude to our sponsors, partners, judges, guests and all those who participated in this year's gala dinner event.
Michael-William Kelly, Event Sales Director, said: "The European Outsourcing Awards was another huge success. It was a great night for the industry to come together and celebrate all of the fantastic achievements made during the past 12 months."
Dr Kevin Robinson, head of the judging panel, added: "It's always a pleasure to bring the EOA back to Madrid, the city that hosted the first ever edition back in 2005. Since that time, the "Outsourcing Oscars" has grown and developed, but one constant seems to be the ever-increasing quantity and quality of nominations that we receive each year.
"Assessing, grading and scoring the submissions is never an easy task, and it's been fascinating to watch how, with time, the nominations have become more comprehensive and defined. It hasn't made the lot of the judging panel any easier, but this subtle evolution has prompted us to re-imagine a number of the categories, making them more specific and, we hope, better aligned with the business, processes and advances in the pharmaceutical contract services sector."
He said: "In essence, the industry is driving change ... and we're doing our best to keep up! Of course, the evening will still be an opportunity to network, celebrate and enjoy the whole gala dinner experience, and I look forward to seeing you there. And it'll be interesting to note how the innovation, relationships and developments that win an award on the night will shape the future of both the industry and the EOA itself."
Eric Schmidhäuser, Managing Director, Catalent Germany Schorndorf GmbH, said: "Catalent continues to make strong investments in drug development expertise, new drug delivery technologies and site specific technology and supply capabilities across the globe. The project at Schorndorf is part of this ongoing programme and we are very pleased to receive this high profile industry recognition." (EOA 2012)
"The best EOA so far," said Steve Kemp, Business Development Director, Brecon Pharmaceuticals. (EOA 2011)
Will Downie, Catalent's Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, said: "As Headline Sponsor of the European Outsourcing Awards 2010, we were honoured to be presented with the Best Contract Manufacturing Project award for the third year running. The award recognizes Catalent’s strength in bringing together a wide range of deep expertise and delivery technologies to solve complex development challenges in a close collaboration with a valued partner, helping to bring Duodart®, an important new combination therapy product to market. The European Outsourcing Awards highlight outstanding achievements within the pharmaceutical outsourcing industry and we are proud to support and to be recognised at such a significant event."
